Minecraft cape maker
Paint the sheet, watch it hang on the model.
How it works
- The big block on the right of the sheet is the cape. That 10×16 rectangle is the side everyone else sees. The matching block on the left is the inside, which only shows when the cape swings; the thin strips are its edges and the two bars along the top are the seams.
- The wing shapes are the elytra. A cape file is also an elytra file - the same PNG covers both, so what you paint over there is what your wings look like. Switch the preview to Elytra to see it.
- Paint on the sheet, watch the model. The preview updates as you draw, so you can tell straight away whether a pattern lands where you meant it to.
- Erase, do not paint white. Anything you leave transparent stays transparent in game. Painting the unused parts white gives your cape a white border.
Good to know
- A cape PNG is 64×32. That is the whole format. Anything you open here is fitted to it.
- You cannot give yourself this cape on Java. Mojang grants Java capes to accounts and the game will not load a file, so this is for servers and clients that do accept one, for Bedrock packs, and for designing. That is the honest answer and it is better than finding out afterwards.
- Nothing is uploaded. The sheet is a canvas in your browser and the download is written from it.
